I actually nearly cried my eyes out, but then I also got a letter from my uni about my masters for next year, including a reading list which got me all excited again!
So yeah... at the same time I'm planning my archaeology dig in August. I'll be leaving on Monday to the middle-of-nowhere-France for 3 weeks to dig up a protohistoric stuff (Gaul/pre-Roman period) to complete my french degree. It sounds...
My only comfort is going to be re-reading Deathly Hallows and finally grasping all the tiny details I missed the first time, and actually speaking of book 7, here are my 2 cents about the book, as taken from

1. What was the biggest surprise? Hermione getting tortured by Bellatrix. I thought my heart was going to explode from the suspense and emotion and instead I burst into tears, I just couldn't stand reading about Hermione's screams and Ron shouting her name *shudders*
2. Which would you rather have, Hermione's neverending beaded purse, or the Elder wand? The beaded purse, definitey! I always carry too much with me in my bag and the wand seems like a poisoned gift to me.
3. What was your favorite quote? "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!" Molly Weasley rules all! I absolutely adored that line and even if I was trying hard not to spoil other readers in the room when I read that, I couldn't help but squee! :D
4. Whose death struck you the hardest? Dobby! I never liked the little house elf but his death got to me most because I guess that's the death JKR spent most time writing about. Lupin's and Tonks' death were barely mentioned I didn't feel anything about them at all even though I love them both!
5. What is one theory you had that came true? Hmmm... I can't remember now what theories I had in particular, but I guess my idea of the actual general outline of the book was correct. I had guessed JKR was have Harry at the Burrow for the wedding, then off with Ron and Hermione hunting Horcruxes, etc with many adventures in between until the end, which would happen at Hogwarts. So I always had that vague structure idea for book 7 but anything else, I was pretty much clueless about.
So there you go... overall, I loved book 7 but it wasn't my favourite. OotP is still my favourite and then HBP I think. I think the epilogue ruined the ending for me a bit, as it didn't answer any of the questions I wanted answered and I finished reading the book feeling quite frustrated :( Oh yeah, and Dramione didn't happen either... :p

In any case, here are the pictures I took over the 4 days I was there... I don't have everyone's LJ names, so if you recognise yourself, let me know and I'll add your name in! :)

So there you go guys. Overall a lot more fun than I thought it would be and the panels and roundtables were amazing, it was so relieving to simply sit and chat about book 7, Harry Potter and fanfiction with people who were just as obsessive about it as me! :) My particular roundtable about character deaths went really well and I wanted to thank everyone who voted on the poll I put up last week.
The podcast plays for SpellCast were hilarious and simply brilliant! The author of the two plays is amazing and extremely talented and the cast I managed to gather within the day were great! The episode should be up shortly after SpellCast's Deathly Hallows episode is out.
And talking about book 7, we're trying to gather as many reviews of the book as possible, so if you've finished reading it and have something to say about it: click here!

I have so much to tell you guys and photos to post and of course... my thoughts about Deathly Hallows to write up! *squee*
In the meantime, the special Order of the Phoenix SpellCast episode is up and not only do we have an interview with the Imax President, but we also interview Nicholas Hooper, the composer for OotP and I even interviewed Duff Goldman from Ace of Cakes!!! He was such a nice guy to talk to, it's a shame we don't get his show over here.
Right, well I'm exhausted... I didn't get much sleep all weekend, mostly due to partying and reading Deathly Hallows, so I'm off to bed, but I'll be posting about it all tomorrow :)

As most of you know, I'll be attending Sectus in London starting Thursday and I will also be heading The Next Great Adventure roundtable on Saturday, discussing character deaths in book 7 and how they affect canon and the fandom. (Yes, that does mean I'll be reading book 7 overnight... eek!)
In order to compare people's thoughts about character deaths in Deathly Hallows and who JKR really decided to kill off, I thought I'd put up this poll so that everyone can have their final say before the book release :)

Which character's death would affect you the most? (please feel free to explain in a comment)
Please feel free to explain your choices in a comment and I'm sorry if I forgot any important character! I looked through the books trying to think of everyone, but there are so many characters, someone might have slipped my mind. If you feel that Percy, Flitwick, Slughorn, Grawp, Lockhart, etc might die, just let me know in a comment. :)
Thanks to everyone who's taken this poll! It's going to be really helpful for my roundtable discussion and if anyone's going to Sectus and would like to help me out with it, do let me know.
To everyone who's answered the Philosopher's Stone poll so far, I think I sent the special premiere videos to everyone who voted except
