Well, I'm off! (hiatus notice)

As I told you all yesterday, I'm off to my dig tomorrow and won't have access to internet pretty much the whole 3 weeks I'm away! *sniff*

I really hope this dig will go well since I'm being marked for my archaeology degree and need a good grade! But in any case, I'm sure it'll be loads of fun and hopefully it'll also help me out with my writer's block because I have sooo many plot bunnies hopping around my head since I read DH! So yeah, lots of plans fanfiction-wise for when I come back (and I most certainly will be updating HWY!).

Apart from that, I went to see Transformers last night and I was pleasantly surprised. Don't worry no spoilers here, but I thought they did a better job of adapting an 80s cartoon than expected and the fact that they didn't really take themselves seriously helped the audience to simply accept and enjoy the movie for what it was. What surprised me even more though was that after surfing around the internet and trying to learn more about Autobots and Decepticons (yes, I'm a geek like that!), I realised there were more 80's cartoons in the process of being turned into movies. I guess the comic book wave is starting to die out now, so directors are delving into the cartoons instead. I heard about He-Man and Thundercats and seeing as I used to watch them with my brother as a kid, I thought the news of them being turned into movies was amazing!!! (Yeah, I know what y'all thinking... "Grow up, Sid!" lol!). Well, in any case, it got me wondering if anyone else was excited like I am and so I actually decided to create a poll! :D

Poll #1029945 80's cartoons!
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All, participants: 6

Which 80's cartoon would you like to see turned into a movie?

It's just general curiosity really... I voted Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, because I used to love that show and I think a movie version of it would rock!!

Right, well I'm going to miss you all and I'll try answer comments and post a quick update if I manage to get hold of internet at some point. But until next time, kudos!
